Pierre-Yves Declercq obtained his Master in Geology in 2001 and his PhD in 2021 from University of Liège (Belgium).
In 2002, he started working for the Geological Survey of Belgium (GSB-RBINS) on Euroseismic project (EU-FP5) to compile metadata for offshore seismic and sonar survey information. Today, he is mainly involved in geohazard mapping, radar interferometry, Geoheritage and GIS and Geo-ICT projects.
He is a member of the EuroGeoSurveys Spatial information and Earth Observation Expert Groups and a member of the Geologica Belgica association.
